You can view the public example project or choose the Core plan to try Langfuse with your own data. Every plan is a paid plan and can be cancelled from the billing page.
Can I self-host Langfuse?
Yes. Langfuse is MIT licensed and can run on your own infrastructure with Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or cloud templates. You are responsible for your infrastructure costs.
What is a billable unit?
A billable unit is any tracing data point sent to the platform, including traces, observations such as spans and generations, and evaluation scores.
How does the graduated pricing work?
Each paid plan includes 100k units per month. Usage above that amount is billed in graduated bands, so higher monthly volumes receive lower per-unit rates automatically.
What is the difference between data access and data retention?
Data access controls how far back you can explore historical data. Data retention is an opt-in cleanup policy that permanently removes data after a configured period.
When do I get billed?
Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Usage beyond the included units is calculated according to the graduated bands shown above.
How can I manage my subscription?
After signing in, open Billing to view the active plan, manage payment details, or cancel the subscription.
Where is the data stored?
The cloud service supports US, EU, and Japan data regions. Enterprise deployments can discuss HIPAA-ready and self-hosted options.
