About us
Langfuse is building the open-source AI engineering platform to help teams build production-grade LLM applications faster. We are focused on observability, evaluation, prompts, and the workflows that make agents reliable.
Our story
We initially realized the pains of solving problems with LLMs during Y Combinator’s W23 batch in San Francisco. We now have two offices, a larger one in Berlin focused on product and engineering and a smaller one in San Francisco focused on marketing and sales.
In January 2026, we joined ClickHouse to accelerate the product and the platform. The team remains focused on making traces useful, evaluations actionable, and prompts easier to operate in production.
Our mission
The AI ecosystem moves quickly. Langfuse gives teams durable primitives for understanding behavior, improving quality, and operating agents with confidence.
Open
Build on standards and portability so teams control their data and deployment.
Practical
Make the full engineering loop useful from the first trace to production scale.
For developers
Design APIs, SDKs, and agent workflows that fit real engineering practice.
